Heritage Portraits & Albums approached me to edit the “promo shots” that their teams take while on location at public safety departments. After giving it a lot of thought, I realized that the experience would serve me well. This experience has taught me many things. Some of those things are: practice makes perfect, time is money, the devil is in the details, you can’t always get what you want, and being a life-long learner is the MOST important lesson to hang on to. If you’re always willing to learn something new, there will always be hope.
About Promo Edits:
Standard procedure on promo edits is to swap out the sky with a more visually interesting sky, remove any obstructions (clean up - such as: light poles, signage, trash, etc.), draw the eye in to the vehicles, and make the vehicles the focal point.
